Mock ups - UPDATED

I made adjustments to my mock ups for the front cover of my magazine, the contents page and the double page spread to make it seem more authentic and conform to more of the codes and conventions that I have researched into using other music magazines.

Though the magazine covers I looked at were more minimalistic, I looked into more covers of the magazine Vibe and Clash and they each had 'busier' front covers, containing a lot more text and hints towards article titles etc. I like this front cover a lot more as it is more eye catching and will therefore draw a wider audience. It also makes it more obvious to the audience what the genre of the magazine is.

I made some small changes to my contents page to make the layout more aesthetically pleasing and colourful. I changed the features section so that it highlights different articles
and I think this will make it easier for the audience to see what part of the magazine is what.

To the double page spread I removed the article text that followed onto the second page and instead placed a quote here. I also added the magazine name and issue date to the top right corner to give the effect of continuity throughout the magazine, as well as slightly altering the layout to give it an overall more organised effect.
